Spanish in the work force! YEAH!

Hablo espanol.  But I never get to use my Spanish at work unless I want to speak in code with my friend Dani.  She and I were both Latin American Studies majors-a really fun major that doesn't quite equate into a specified job.  Although I'm so grateful that I learned Spanish because it enables me to communicate with so many more people, and in my opinion-it looks great on a job resume, for my job...I don't ever really get to use it.  And I'm bummed to say that I'm losing it a little.  But yay for today! Rene is on the agents that I work with and he's from Argentina and today one of his clients came in talking in Spanish on the phone, so when I asked her if she wanted a drink or needed anything-I did it in Spanish-which prompted a Spanish conversation! YES! Exactly what I wanted.  I know that my grammar is still awful, but I just love being able to talk to people in a comfortable setting and getting to use the skills that I learned.  I think Tim and I need to go on a getaway to a Spanish speaking country so we can really rock our skills.  That's all. I got to speak in Spanish today with someone at work and it made me happy :-)

  1. You could go to Miami. People always speak Spanish to you first there and English second. especially at the Dolphin Mall.
