Fallen in Chocolate 5k: Helping fight Ovarian Cancer

September is Ovarian Cancer month and there is a great opportunity to give back to such a great cause at the end of September. One of my coworkers is facing this personal battle in his family.  Kalina Clegg (wife of my coworker Sterling) was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer earlier this year.  She is only 22 years old and seemed to be the image of health.  She was on her college track team, is a avid runner, and just loves life.  Well other than being off for a couple days due to a major surgery, and then also when she's having her chemo treatments, Kalina is still going strong.  She continues to run whenever she can, and has an incredibly positive attitude.  Basically-the girl is just awesome!

To help support the Clegg family through this tough journey and to help give back during ovarian cancer month they are holding a 5k on September 29th. You can read all about Kalina's journey here on her blog.  The 5k is called Fallen in Chocolate.  That's the name of her blog, and although there won't be any literal falling in chocolate (not that I know of-which would be awesome-but defeat part of the purpose of the run/walk) there will be chocolate at the end of the race.  Kalina's favorite things are running, chocolate, and monkey's-thus the cute monkey logo :-)
