Time for a bouquet of Sharpened Pencils

It's that time again.  School time.  Time for back to school shopping, notebooks, pencils, and the influx of about 50,000 college students that took a break over the summer.  Although I've been graduated and out of school for over a year now, I still get nervous before the first day of school-even when it isn't my first day!

This year two very important people went back to school/had their first day.  The first is my Tim.  Tim went back to school and I think that most of my personal nerves were really just nerves that I had about him starting again that I'd projected at myself....yeah, it is a little confusing.  Either way though.  He's had a very couple successful days back at school and is enjoying himself.  (BAH! I can't believe I didn't take a picture of him on his first day! That just hit me.)

The second person is my niece Olivia.  Livi had her first day of school ever yesterday. Tim and I went out to the house to see her the night before her big day.  I helped her pick out her outfit, made her a necklace, and just hung out with family.  It was such a fun night and so neat to see Livi's excitement.  I hear she did AMAZING!!!! Got on all the right buses and looked super cute.  She's such a confident little girl-she even rocked her awesome hot pink glasses! It's so weird to think that my niece is old enough to be in kindergarten, but I know it's even weirder for my sister knowing her daughter is.

So...my nerves have ebbed about school beginning, although a few of my coworkers are just getting fired up since their normally 15 minute commute to work is now at least 30 minutes due to all the college students. Good luck to everyone who's started a new school year.  Hurrah for academia!
