Tim and I did our first ever price matching!!! It was so exciting and so fun! We only saved like $2!!! But it was still pretty exhilirating knowing that we saved more than what we would have. So....due to that little adventure, I'm making a list of some of the goals I have/talents I want to acquire. I would write these in a journal...but I don't ever write in my journal anymore, or read the things I do write there so...here we go.
1. Price Matching
2. Making Meal Menus
3. Eating Healthier
These are just my "trying to be a thrifty, healthy, awesome cook-wife" goals. Basically, when I'm a momma (although I'm going to try now) I want to be able to find sweet deals and coupons and do my part by saving as much as I can and yet still making yummy, healthy meals. So there it is. I want to price match and coupon, and save, and then plan out the meals I make with a menu.
Working full-time and then coming home and making an awesome meal can be totally daunting/hard. When I come home from work I just want something fast. We usually end up eating cereal or something. Although I am getting better, I know I'm sacrificing our health sometimes because quick food isn't always good food. So those are some of my goals. I am going to try and acquire these talents now, but really hope to do it when I don't have to work full-time.
This girl totally knows her stuff and sets a great example to follow for my goals. Read her price matching article here.
Go Megsie! Imagine what you could do with the 2$ you save every time you go to the grocery store???? You could pay college tuition someday!
