Tis the season for Ellertson Birthdays

In my family, we women all have our birthdays in the winter.  My mom's is in January, my oldest sister's in December, and then myself and my middle sister in February.  However, my husband's side of the family (granted there are more people in his family) has a good cluster of birthdays between July and September.  Mainly...Tim's birthday! AnnaMarie's, Brad's and Jessie's birthdays!

This is a post in celebration of my great brother and sisters-in-law who have recently celebrated their birthdays! 1. Because Grandma Phillis's cake for AnnaMarie is WAY too cool to not show off. and
2. Because Tim and I celebrated Brad and Jessie's birthday without them realizing it :-D

First...Miss AnnaMarie. To celebrate AnnaMarie's birthday we went over to Grandpa Frogley's house where he cooked us a WONDERFUL!!! dinner.  (The best steak ever!) and where Phillis prepared an awesome cake for AnnaMarie.

Yes...that is a bunt cake! An amazingly rich, wonderful, chocolate chips inside, chocolate bunt cake. The coolest thing about this cake however was that candle!!! I feel like this is a cooler version of the bunt cake on My Big Fat Greek Wedding because in that movie she puts a flower in the cake and the same was done for AnnaMarie-a huge flower candle that is!  This thing started out with its petals all tucked up and in (like a new tulip) and then once all the candles were lighted, it opened up, spun around, and had the Happy Birthday song music.  Seriously! The coolest candle I have ever seen.  Oh...I forgot...you light the candles, it's like a FIREWORK first, and then the spinning etc....seriously though...I'm a little surprised that this thing is legal what with it's cool pyrotechnics.  But I am sure glad it is because it made for the coolest cake ever!

Next we celebrate Brad and Jessie's September birthdays.  Basically...Tim and I want to give a big huge shout out to Brad and Jessie because...in celebration of their birthdays we went to Tucanos with their birthday cards that came in the mail! Ok...we actually only went once.  I was Jessie for the night ;-) and I'm sure they wish they could have been near a Tucanos to celebrate their own birthdays that way, but we were sure glad to do it for them.  Thank you Brad and Jessie for being born and signing up for Tucanos birthday club.  I hope that you both had/will have great birthdays! We sure miss you guys lots!

Here are pictures of Tim and I on our "fake" birthday date. (For the life of me I cannot get these to rotate.  I'm slightly technologically handicapped and I couldn't figure out how to make them stay rotated. New experiences with getting pictures from my camera phone).

Tim wondering why there is ice cream when he clearly thought very loudly that he only wanted whipped cream.

Me being Jessie for the night.  We have the same last name...that's makes it less deceitful.

And my sweet, handsome husband.  Isn't he such a looker? Sideways or not...I lucked out!
