A Great September

It's been a while since I've done a post and I just wanted to do a little (haha. little. more like two volume) update and give a shout out to September.  September-you have been awesome! Basically...just a lot of fun things have happened and it's made this month fly by.  So here's for a little recap although I do hope to do more in-depth posts on a lot of these things in the future.

Family
My family is really small.  I'm talking one first cousin.  Dad's an only child.  My mum had one sister who passed away before I was born...=one first cousin. Well...I am so grateful that my my parents have cousins! A few of my mom's cousins from Wales came over to visit the states for the last two weeks.  It was so wonderful to be around family and get to know them all better.  Now that they're all gone back to the UK it's really sad because I don't know when we'll see each other again, but I'm so grateful to have made such strong connections with them...and I'm grateful for facebook so that we can stay in better contact now. (Get FB Margaret)

It was so much fun with them here though.  In total we had 6 visitors: my mum's cousins Lynda and Margaret, Margaret's daughter Leah and her boyfriend James, and then our "fake" cousins Angela and her husband Ray (these two are such good family friends that they've been added to our family without needing it in their DNA).  They stayed one week with us here in Utah and then went to Vegas the next week.

While in Utah we went to Temple Square, ate lots of yummy food (BBQ, Tucanos, Cracker BArrell), had my family/friend baby shower, and then they also did a lot of fun shopping and activities (guys went to a shooting range) etc....

The week in Vegas was so fun too.  Tim and I went down on Thursday night and I stayed until Wednesday but Tim had to come back Sunday night for school and work.  Some of the fun things we did though were: walk around all the casinos to see the sights, go see a real mermaid swim around in an aquarium ;-), more shopping, eating at yummy buffets, THE Belagio Buffet, and then....the three coolest things other than just being with family were going to the show La Rev with Tim (AMAZING!), going to the Grand Canyon for the first time (gorgeous!), and Ange & Ray renewing their wedding vows complete with a legit Elvis (EXTRA AMAZING!!!).

All in all...it was such an amazing and fun trip.  Did I take pictures? No. Because I'm horrible at taking pictures to the point of completely forgetting my camera. Will I try and do more in-depth blog posts and steal others photos for them? Yes.

Baby Showers
I've had one amazing baby shower so far that my sister Sian threw for me. Is it just me or are most first time pregnant girls clueless of baby shower etiquette? Because I felt slightly clueless.  I just went with what people told me and that was: that usually you have two...one for each side of your family, and that I'm not supposed to do anything.  Well when my family isn't very big I decided the perfect time for my side would be when my Welsh cousins were in town and to try and get all of my chosen family (aka my amazing friends) together as well.  Well...it was amazing! It was so fun! Sian, my mom, and the cousins all decorated the house so cute, they had a couple cute fun games, and it was really just so wonderful to be around so many people that I love. I'm super fortunate to be so blessed with my family-me and Tim's whole family. We are so lucky that we both have such wonderful parents, siblings, grandparents, and extended family (all of the awesome cousins on both sides).  This weekend I am blessed that I'll  be having my second baby shower with Tim's side of our family.  I just can't believe how blessed and loved we are to have such wonderful family and friends.  I am amazed at how much I love my little girl already but I can tell that so many others already love her too.  It's just as if my ability to feel joy has grown and will just keep growing...basically, it rocks.

Tim sold both cars
So the closer this baby gets to coming I feel like the more and more my love for Tim is growing.  Oh my goodness-can I just say I have the best husband ever?! He's just the most wonderful man; he takes care of me always, is so patient, kind, loves serving people, and he's already showing how he's an amazing dad...not to mention...he is just incredibly, incredibly attractive/smokin' hot! Yep...wow. I love Tim. Such a good thing in a marriage I know ;-)  Well...I just want to add another shout out to him.  Tim sold both of our cars! Our cars that my family thought only we could love-Tim amazingly sold both of them in record time.  So yeah...not only is my husband amazing in all those other ways but we can just add onto that "awesome KSL car salesman" as well :-D

Prepping for baby Mary
We've still got lots to do before she comes but I am getting so excited to meet her now.  For the most part I'm feeling pretty great physically other than a few random aches or pains.  One of the things Tim and I are doing to prepare though for our little miss is we've starting taking Hypno-birthing classes with his cousin Hannah.  I'll do a whole other post on that but basically...it is great! Hannah is an amazing instructor and since taking the classes I have felt so much better and at ease in regards to meeting our little girl.  I've also learned some great techniques that just help me clam down when I'm stressed=awesome.  But yeah...as far as the pregnancy is going me and baby are doing great.  Only 6 weeks left and we're all getting pretty excited!
