HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATY!!!

This is my best friend Katy.  

Today is her birthday.  HOLLA! Number big 24! What?! Basically...I love this girl so much.  You can't find a better friend anywhere.  Our story briefly began our freshman year when we were introduced through a mutual friend (Wendy) while playing volleyball.  It was a very brief interaction where Katy actually didn't like me at first because she thought I had crushes on the guys we were playing with (she was right-but I wasn't just there for them).  And that was kind of it.  Flash forward to our sophomore year.  We were both living at Liberty Square (her friendship is easily the best thing to come from living there) and the first week of church we saw each other.  It was like...oh there's someone who I've met before.  And being awesome, great, nice, happy people we talked to each other.  It was like instantaneous best friends.  Volleyball was definitely a major aspect of our friendship-starting sophomore year we were on every intramural team together for women's and coeds.  She is an awesome volleyball player, throws the funnest and best parties, gets along with anyone, has impeccable taste in tv shows and movies, a great sense of humor, is super compassionate/genuine/generous, and a total brainiack (I can't even spell that!); she is awesome!.  But more importantly than volleyball or parties, we could just talk about everything and anything.  No matter the distance or time between when I've seen Katy that hasn't changed.  So anyway-she is my best friend and I love her tons and today is her birthday so here are some awesome flashback pics of me and Katy...I'll call it an

When my family was on vacation in California I went and stayed with her for a couple days.  We met up with our great friend Chris and had an awesome time at the Dixon fair.

My junior year of college I came home from church on my birthday and this was what awaited me in my room.  Talk about the best person ever! Total birthday surprise from Katy.  If I was an awesome friend I would have gone up to Lehi where she lives and done this...but I don't know how much her husband would have approved. Jk. It would have been awesome.  I should have stepped it up.  My replacement for something that cool...this blog post :-)

Basically-Katy is one of the very best people I have ever met
and I'm so glad to be able to have her as a friend.
