Two Months

2 Months

Our sweet Mary girl is 2 months old.  So here is a little update on how she has been doing.  Her doctor appointment went great.  The doctor said she was perfect again and we definitely agree with him. He said she was looking great and the appointment was awesome until she had to get her immunizations.  When Mary had to get her first round of PKU stuff when she was in the hospital after she was born Tim and I both went with her to the nursery.  It broke my heart to see my little girl cry so hard. I barely held it together through the hallways and then bawled when we got back to our room just because it made me so sad to see her crying that hard.  Well...we figured that these pokes would be easier on us parents because we have gotten used to her crying.  I didn't cry...but we have never heard Mary cry that hard before.  It was a different sound all together.  It was really sad, but she was really brave and stopped crying pretty soon afterward, and well it was a necessary evil so that's ok. Here are her stats from the appointment.

Stats:10 lbs, a little over 23 inches long 20% for weight, 90% for height and 50% for head

Month 2
  1. Smiling all the time
  2. cooing and being more vocal
  3. sleeping generally 5-6 hours at night
  4. blows lots of bubbles
  5. following things around with her eyes
  6. too tall/long for her newborn clothes but a little too short and definitely too thin for her three month clothes
  7. getting more hair on her head and it's looking a little darker though still kind of an old man skullet hairdo
  8. eyes are definitely looking blue

  10. loves her mommy
  11. sleeps in her "sleeping bag" and always does really cute back arches and big stretches in the morning whens he is "released"
  12. puts her hands behind her head as if she's going to be doing some situps
  13.  Still does the baby back arch thing when she's sleepy
  14. no more baby acne, all cleared up (if only I could say the same thing)
  15. dry scalp just like mommy and daddy
  16. not having as many projectile throw-ups but still spitting up regularly
Photos from our 2 month shoot.
